A memory of you
I wrote this on my way to Green Bay from Milwaukee after a horrible night. Of all the rooms in the hotel, they put me
in the one I shared with my love. I loved and missed her so much. I pretty much forced a second poem out rather than
write about the pain I felt.

Here I am in this place
Everywhere I see your face
I want to call, not wait
My luck maybe, cruel fate
They’ve placed me in our room
My heart alternates glee and gloom
Laying in the bed we made love
Gives my insides quite a shove
In the shower there is your name
More memory toying, a terrible game
I see the hot tub we would rest
Just sitting relaxing with you is the best
I wish there would be a knock at my door
That you would appear ready for more
More relaxing, laughter, love and fun
I do want the beach and the sun
I long to be at your side
Where ever, what ever, I will not hide
This room haunts me when you don’t call
Every time I enter my heart stalls
This room is very special to me
It reflects the love you fail to see
Please honey, see the love we had
I promise you, you will be glad
